His doctoral thesis, Virtuous eloquence: rhetoric education in Swedish schools and gymnasiums 1724–1807, examines the interplay between rhetoric education, moral instruction, and character formation in early modern Sweden. The study highlights the persistence of classical texts like Gerardus Johannis Vossius' Elementa rhetorica and their role in shaping an erudite identity during the period.
