Prof. Dr. techn. Stefan Filipp is a faculty member at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and serves as Director at the Walther-Meißner-Institute for Low Temperature Research. His research focuses on quantum computing and information processing using superconducting qubits, with a strong emphasis on geometric quantum computation and quantum hardware development. He also contributes to quantum optics, quantum error correction, and hybrid quantum-classical systems.
- Education: Dr. Filipp completed his Dipl.-Ing. in Technical Physics at TU Vienna (2003), a Master’s in Physics at Uppsala University (2002), and a PhD in Technical Physics at TU Vienna (2006) with a thesis on geometric phases.
