Stavroula Zoi

Dr. Stavroula Zoi is a computer scientist and researcher at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), serving as a Laboratory Instructor (EDIP) since 2004. Her work bridges art, technology, and education, with expertise in Interactive Multimedia, Extended Reality (XR), and Creative Technologies. She holds a PhD from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and leads projects such as the @postasis platform, a multiuser virtual space for collaborative artistic education and experimentation.

Education:

• BSc in Computer Science, University of Ioannina (1997)
• PhD in Software Engineering, NTUA (2003)

Research & Projects:

• Developed platforms like InBetween, Action Room II, and Global Earth Art Project.
• Coordinated the Erasmus+ @postasis program (2017–2020), fostering real-time artistic collaborations globally.
• Explores XR in art education, including postdoctoral research at the University of the Aegean (2023–present).

Teaching: Teaches courses in VR, human-computer interaction, and digital art at ASFA’s Greek-French Master program and the Master in Digital Arts.

Labs & Collaborations: Collaborates with Fournos Center for Digital Culture and its Fournos Lab, focusing on multimedia performances and experimental setups.
