Staffan Normark

Staffan Normark is a Senior Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology, Karolinska Institutet. His research focuses on microbial pathogenesis, particularly the mechanisms of bacterial infections such as Streptococcus pneumoniae and other pathogens. He leads the Respiratory and Invasive Infections group, collaborating on projects related to host-pathogen interactions, antimicrobial resistance, and vaccine development.
