Staffan I. Lindberg

Staffan I. Lindberg is a Professor of political science and the Director of the V-Dem Institute at the University of Gothenburg. He serves as a founding Principal Investigator for Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem), a major international research project focused on democratization.

• Research interests include elections and democratization, accountability, egalitarian democracy, clientelism, sequence analysis, women's representation, and voting behavior.
• Recognized with the Choice Outstanding Academic Title award for his book Democracy and Elections in Africa.
