Stacy Workman

Dr. Stacy Workman is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Criminal Justice Major at Brevard College. She holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Walden University, an M.J.A. in Justice Administration from Methodist University, and a B.A.A.S in Criminal Justice from Lees McRae College.

Her research focuses on individuals in the criminal justice system with substance abuse and/or mental health challenges, procedural justice, and community-based corrections. She has extensive prior experience as an undercover officer, loss prevention specialist, patrol deputy, and probation/parole officer. Currently active in law enforcement, she serves as a reserve deputy sheriff and holds NC Department of Justice General Instructor certification.
