Stacy Walz

Dr. Stacy Walz is an Interim Dean and Lecturer in the College of Nursing & Health Professions at Arkansas State University. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Population Health Sciences from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, along with a B.S. in Medical Technology.

Her research focuses on

• Patient safety initiatives in clinical laboratories
• Quality of laboratory testing
• Impact of pending hospital discharge tests on patient outcomes

She has extensive experience in hematology/coagulation, immunohematology, and laboratory management, and actively contributes to the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) through its national patient safety committee.
