Stacy Alaimo is the Barbara and Carlisle Moore Professor of English and Core Faculty in Environmental Studies at the University of Oregon. She directs the English Department's Graduate Studies program. Her research bridges environmental humanities, science studies, and critical theory, focusing on transcorporeality, blue humanities, and material ecocriticism. She has authored seminal works like Bodily Natures (2010) and Exposed (2016), and co-edited foundational texts like Material Feminisms (2008). Her current projects include The Abyss Stares Back (2025) and Acid Seas.
