Staci Shaffer

Staci Shaffer is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Sociology at Colorado State University (CSU), where she has taught since 2012. She is also a Lieutenant with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Collins, Colorado, with over 28 years of law enforcement experience. Shaffer holds a Master of Criminal Justice Degree from the University of Colorado at Denver School of Public Affairs (2007).

Her professional accolades include the national Certified Jail Manager designation (2011) and the Judge Conrad L. Ball Award (2022) for contributions to justice quality in Larimer County. She emphasizes student-driven learning in her courses and supports self-paced academic engagement.
