Srinivas Rangarajan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Lehigh University since January 2017. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota (2013) and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (2007).

His research focuses on heterogeneous catalysis, computational chemistry, and reaction engineering. He develops computational tools like RING (Rule Input Network Generator) to model and optimize catalytic systems, with applications in energy and environmental technologies. His work integrates density functional theory (DFT), microkinetic modeling, optimization, and machine learning.
Dr. Rangarajan has published over 20 peer-reviewed journals and proceedings and received awards including the Kokes Award, KVPY Young Scientist fellowship, and AIChE recognitions. He previously worked at Shell Global Solutions in Netherlands and India as a Senior Associate Technologist in hydroprocessing.
