Srinandan Dasmahapatra

Dr. Srinandan Dasmahapatra is an Associate Professor at the Electronics and Computer Science department of the University of Southampton. He is a member of the Vision, Learning and Control research group within the Institute for Life Sciences. His research focuses on machine learning, computer vision, and their applications in healthcare and particle physics. Dr. Dasmahapatra has led or collaborated on EU-funded projects such as HealthAgents and Michelangelo, and contributed to research initiatives like PLEASED. He actively supervises multiple PhD students across computer science, physics, and engineering disciplines.

His research interests include histopathology image segmentation, human pose estimation, material recognition for immersive VR/AR interactions, and jet clustering algorithms for Higgs boson detection at the LHC. He has published extensively in top conferences and journals, with a focus on advancing deep learning architectures and their practical implementations in healthcare and high-energy physics.
