Spela Mocnik

Dr. Spela Mocnik is a Research Fellow in Inclusive Ageing at the University of Southampton's Centre for Research on Ageing and Department of Gerontology. She leads qualitative research for the ESRC-funded project Promoting inclusivity in pension protection and other forms of saving among men and women from black and minority ethnic communities in the UK.

Her research examines social determinants of health inequalities in later life, with particular focus on financial security and ethnic disparities. She specializes in mixed-methods approaches to understand pension participation barriers in underserved populations.
