Sotiria Varis

Sotiria Varis is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Docent in professional identity and emotions at the University of Jyväskylä. Affiliated with the Faculty of Education and Psychology's Department of Teacher Education, her work focuses on pre-service teacher development, educators' professional identity negotiation, and workplace emotions. Key research areas include bilingual education, CLIL methodologies, and teacher education systems in diverse contexts.

Her research spans cross-cultural comparisons of teacher competencies, policy analysis in Kazakhstan and Greece, and emotional intelligence in teaching professions.
