Soroor Rostami is a PhD Research Fellow at the Department of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Education, University of Agder since 2021. Her research focuses on democratic education, teacher burnout, student motivation, and socio-emotional well-being through quantitative methodologies. She contributes to the Democratic Mobilization (DEMO) program investigating democracy-related themes in educational contexts.

- Current Project: Developing the Democratic Education Scale from immigrant students' perspectives, modeling interrelationships among democratic education, racism, and socio-emotional well-being, and identifying teacher strategies to reduce racial discrimination.
- Publications: Active in fields of EFL learning, stress management, and motivational frameworks since 2014, with recent works (2017) examining metacognitive regulation and test anxiety in language acquisition.
