Dr. Sorada Tapsuwan is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Urban Transitions, Swinburne University of Technology. With over 20 years of experience, her research focuses on integrating economic theories and environmental sciences to inform policy development for urban and agricultural environments. She specializes in ecosystem services valuation, natural capital accounting (NCA), and systems of environmental and economic accounting (SEEA). Her work has supported governments in Australia (ACT, Darwin, NSW) and international partners in quantifying environmental benefits of green infrastructure.
Research interests include environmental policy design, sustainable urban planning, agricultural sustainability, and behavioral economics. She has collaborated with government agencies and industry to address issues like plastic waste management, low-emission transportation, and pest control in agriculture.
