Dr. Sophie Reed is a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences at Swansea University Medical School, specifically within the Blood Sciences/Immunohaematology discipline. She is affiliated with the Institute of Life Science at Singleton Campus and holds a PhD from Cardiff University’s Infection and Immunity division (2022). Her research focuses on immunology, particularly T cell migration in influenza infections and the effects of air pollution during pregnancy (as part of the RESPIRE consortium). She joined Professor Cathy Thornton’s research group as a postdoctoral fellow in 2022 before being appointed as a Medical Pharmacology Lecturer in 2023.
