Soo Jung Moon

Soo Jung Moon is a Professor in the Department of Mass Communications within the School of Communication, Film, and Media at the University of West Georgia. She teaches journalism courses including media ethics, news writing, computer-assisted reporting, and critical issues in journalism. With twelve years of professional journalism experience in Seoul, Korea, her research examines social implications of media, particularly economic news analysis and technology-driven changes in media.

Her research investigates how technological innovations transform journalistic practices and media consumption patterns. She specializes in analyzing economic reporting frameworks and ethical dimensions of news production in digital environments. Current projects examine the impact of artificial intelligence and data visualization techniques on contemporary journalism.
