Associate Professor Sonia White is a faculty member in the School of Education at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), part of the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education & Social Justice. Her research focuses on early childhood development, educational neuroscience, and the cognitive mechanisms underlying learning processes. She leads the Healthy Child Program in the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child and has expertise in behavioral, eye-tracking, and EEG/EMG methodologies. Sonia holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has contributed to numerous competitive grants and philanthropic projects, including the Children's Vision research program at QUT.

Sonia also contributes to academic leadership roles, including Associate Editor for The Australian Educational Researcher.
