Sonia Harmand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Stony Brook University's College of Arts and Sciences and affiliated with the Turkana Basin Institute. She specializes in Early Stone Age archaeology, focusing on the origins of hominin technology through lithic analysis.
