Sonia De Almeida Rocha

Sonia De Almeida Rocha serves as a lecturer at the Institute for Music Education within the School of Music at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), a position she has held since 2015 while concurrently teaching at the School of Contemporary and Urban Dance in Zurich. Her international dance career spans engagements with Reflex Dance Company, Stuttgart Opera House, and Centre Choréographique National under Carolyn Carlson.

Her academic foundation includes professional dance studies at Academia de Dança Contemporanea in Portugal. Career milestones:

• Dancer with Companhia de Dança Contemporânea CeDeCe (1992-1995)
• Representation at international competitions in Finland, Japan, and Bulgaria
