Songyao Ren is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and History of Ideas at the University of Texas at Dallas, affiliated with the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Duke University (2021), an M.A. in East Asian Literatures and Cultures from Columbia University (2016), and a B.J. in Journalism from The University of Hong Kong (2014).
