Song Wang

Song Wang serves as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida, joining as one of 19 new faculty hires in the field. He relocated to UCF from the University of Virginia, where he completed his doctoral studies.

Dr. Wang's research centers on advancing machine learning algorithm generalization and robustness in novel scenarios, such as cross-task adaptation, distribution shifts, and zero-shot learning. His work bridges theoretical computer science with practical applications in bioinformatics for genomic analysis and computational neuroscience for brain modeling. This interdisciplinary approach addresses critical challenges in deploying AI systems under real-world constraints where training and deployment conditions diverge significantly.

He maintains active industry-academic connections through UCF's strategic investments in computing infrastructure, with his office housed in the L3 Harris Engineering Center.
