Somesh Jha is the Lubar Professor in the Computer Sciences Department at University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research bridges computer security, formal methods, and machine learning.
Jha directs projects in adversarial machine learning, focusing on vulnerabilities in deep learning systems and privacy-preserving AI. He co-leads the NSF Center for Trustworthy Machine Learning (CTML) developing robust AI frameworks.
His recent work examines knowledge graph integration with large language models, cryptographic methods for data privacy, and formal verification of AI systems. Jha teaches advanced courses in cryptography and security for data science.
