Dr. Somayyeh Azimi is an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Allied Health, University of Western Australia (UWA). She holds a PhD in Oral Cancer from UWA, focusing on head and neck cancer risk factors. Her roles include researcher at North Metropolitan Health Services, TKI, and the Clinical Research Centre at NMHS Mental Health. She has led projects on tele-dental screening in the ORIGINS Project and evaluated dental hospitalizations for children with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Research Interests: Oral health disparities, telehealth applications in dentistry, mental health accessibility, special care dentistry, and aging populations’ health.
