Dr. Somaye Khaksar is a Research Fellow in the Department of Anthropology at Appalachian State University. She earned her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2022. Her doctoral research focused on stone tool efficiency, and she currently investigates Pleistocene-era technologies through experimental archaeology and lithic analysis.
