Solveig Bjørkholt

Solveig Bjørkholt is a Research Fellow and Doctoral Candidate at the University of Oslo's Department of Political Science. Her research focuses on international standardization as a form of political governance, particularly within the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). She holds a Master's and Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Oslo.

• Roles: Organizer of 'Coffee and Coding' R-help sessions, Course Leader for Data Science initiatives

Research Interests: Standardization processes, depoliticization mechanisms, data science applications in political analysis, and the intersection of technology with governance. Active in developing the StanDat database to improve access to international standards data.

Projects: Parliamentary questions analysis in Norway's Stortinget, affiliated with Comparative Institutions and Regimes (CIR) and Political Data Science (PODS) research groups.

Professional Affiliations: Senior consultant at Statistics Norway (part-time role since 2019).
