Solmaz Salimi

Solmaz Salimi is a postdoctoral researcher at EURECOM’s Software and System Security (S3) Group, focusing on strengthening software security through static/dynamic program analysis and system-level security challenges. Previously, she earned her PhD at Sharif University of Technology under the guidance of Mehdi Kharrazi, and served as a visiting researcher at EPFL’s HexHive group under Mathias Payer, contributing to Linux kernel regression bug detection and fuzzing techniques.

Research Interests:

• Securing inter-layer communications in complex software systems
• Hardware interface and firmware security
• Embedded device security
• Static/dynamic program analysis

CTF Engagement:

• Co-founder of the ASIS CTF competition (2012–present)
• Co-organized CryptoCTF (2019–present) and Parcham CTF (2020)
