Soheil Roshankish

Soheil Roshankish is a Data Scientist at the Institute of Digital Technology for Communication (ITDxC) within the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), where he serves as an external PhD student supervised by Prof. Lorenzo Cantoni, Prof. Marco Colombetti, and Dr. Nicoletta Fornara.

He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Bern, specializing in Information Systems and Decision Support, with his master thesis "Statistical Type Inference" conducted at the eXascale Infolab of the University of Fribourg.

His research spans Semantic Web Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Multiagent Systems, and Normative Systems, with a focus on developing frameworks for monitoring digital asset policies in the Web of Data. This work integrates AI-driven semantic technologies to enforce regulatory compliance for digital resources.

His publication record centers on the 2018 IEEE Big Data conference paper "StaTIX - Statistical Type Inference on Linked Data", which pioneers statistical methods for type inference in linked datasets, advancing knowledge representation and data integration in large-scale semantic systems.

Currently engaged in the project "A Framework for Automatic Monitoring of Norms and Agreements Concerning Digital Assets in the Web of Data" at ITDxC, he develops automated systems for real-time policy enforcement in decentralized data environments.
