Dr. Sofia Evemalm Graham is a Research Associate and Lecturer in the School of Celtic & Gaelic at the University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on toponymy, particularly the place-names of Scotland and Scandinavia, with specializations in folk-onomastics and cultural linguistic interactions. She has conducted projects such as Eòlas nan Naomh: Early Christianity in Uist (2018-19) and currently leads work on Iona’s Namescape: Place-names and their dynamics. Her recent publications explore Norse women’s influence in Hebridean place-names and the cultural dynamics of Scottish toponymy.
