Dr. Smita Pakhale is a Full Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and a Senior Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. She serves as a staff respirologist at The Ottawa Hospital and holds a cross-appointment at the School of Epidemiology and Public Health. Dr. Pakhale co-founded and leads The Bridge Engagement Centre, a research hub specializing in community-based participatory action research (CBPAR) since 2014, focusing on health equity for marginalized populations.
