Slavko Splichal is a Full Professor of Communicology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. Since 1983, he has held significant academic and administrative roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (1991-1993) and founding Director of the European Institute for Communication and Culture (1993–present). His work spans theories of communication, mass media, public opinion, and the political economy of communication.
