Siyu Shi is a Part-time Assistant Professor and Max Weber Fellow in Economics at the European University Institute. His quantitative macroeconomics research examines technological change and inequality using dynamic modeling and microdata analysis. Current projects quantify technology's impact on life-cycle earnings through human capital investment decisions.
He completed his Ph.D. in Economics at Arizona State University (2023), developing life-cycle models integrating college decisions, technology choices, and human capital investments. As a Max Weber Fellow, he continues developing research projects while teaching undergraduate macroeconomics courses.
