Sisse Rye Ostrowski serves as a Professor in personalized medicine at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, and concurrently holds the position of Head of Studies for the Master's program in personalized medicine. She is additionally a board-certified specialist in clinical immunology, Chief Physician, and Head of Research for the Copenhagen Hospital Biobank Unit at the Department of Clinical Immunology, Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet.
Her research centers on translational personalized medicine through biobank utilization, large-scale genetic analyses, and biomarker development to advance tailored medical interventions. With 25 years of expertise in immunology and immune dysfunction, she actively conducts clinical trials applying immunophenotyping diagnostics for patients with iatrogenic immune complications, bridging laboratory discoveries with clinical applications.
As Head of Research for Denmark's largest hospital biobank and genetic cohort, she leads extensive collaborative projects with national and international partners while contributing to education initiatives in personalized medicine through board memberships and research network participation.
