Siobhan Rigby Oca

Siobhan Rigby Oca is Assistant Professor of the Practice at Duke's Mechanical Engineering department and Assistant Director for Robotics and Autonomy. Her research develops autonomous medical systems with human factors integration, particularly robotic ultrasound technologies. Recent work includes spaceflight vascular access systems and educational robotics frameworks.

She directs the Masters program while teaching courses including Introduction to Robotics and Medical Robotics. Awarded the 2024 Mara H. Wasburn Early Engineering Educator Award for curriculum innovations using ROS platforms.
