Dr. Siobhán Jolley is a Visiting Lecturer in Theology and Religious Studies at King's College London and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Manchester. She completed her PhD at the University of Manchester (2021) on 'Reimaging the Magdalene', building on her MA in Christianity and the Arts from King's College London (2013) and BA in Theology from Oxford University (2011). Her research examines representations of biblical figures, particularly Mary Magdalene, in art, film, and popular culture.
As former Howard and Roberta Ahmanson Research Fellow at the National Gallery, she curated visual commentaries on religious art. Her work bridges theological studies with feminist perspectives, analyzing portrayals of biblical women in contemporary media. She teaches courses on Gender and Sexuality in the Bible, Christianity and the Arts, and scriptural interpretation in modern contexts.
