Professor Sinisa Savic is a Professor of Clinical Immunology at the University of Leeds School of Medicine. He also serves as Lead Clinician for Clinical Immunology and Allergy at St James’s University Hospital and is the Clinical Director of the Leeds NIHR-BioResource center. He chairs the British Society for Immunology-Clinical Professional Network (BSI-CIPN).

Research Focus: His work explores genetic mechanisms of rare immune disorders (Primary Immunodeficiencies and Systemic Autoinflammatory Disorders), chronic urticaria, drug allergies, and inflammatory complications in cystic fibrosis/bronchiectasis. His discoveries have advanced understanding of immune pathophysiology and common inflammatory conditions.
Clinical Trials Leadership: Conducted 4 Phase II/III trials as Chief Investigator and 6 as Principal Investigator, with results published in journals including the New England Journal of Medicine.
Teaching: Leads immunology modules for Year 2 MBChB students (Essential Medical Science, Clinical Pathology) and teaches gastrointestinal/metabolism strands for Year 1 MBChB.
