Sinem Coleri is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Koc University, Turkey. She founded and directs the Wireless Networks Laboratory (WNL) and serves as director of the Ford Otosan Automotive Technologies Laboratory. Her academic journey includes a BS from Bilkent University (2000), and MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley (2002/2005).
Research areas span sixth-generation (6G) wireless communications, artificial intelligence-driven wireless networks, machine-to-machine communications, vehicular networks, and wireless networked control systems. Her work bridges telecommunications, computer networks, and AI-based wireless communication, reflecting interdisciplinary innovation.
Awards include N2Women Stars (2022), IEEE Neal Shepherd Memorial Best Paper Award (2020), TÜBİTAK Incentive Award (2020), Higher Education Council Outstanding Achievement Award (2018), and TUBA-GEBIP Distinguished Young Scientist Award (2015). She serves as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Open Journal of Communications Society and holds IEEE Fellow and IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer titles.
