Simron J. Singh is a Professor and University Research Chair in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. His research focuses on socio-metabolic analysis of small island economies, evaluating how resource use patterns (material, energy, water) create vulnerabilities to climate change. He leads the Metabolism of Islands research program and chairs global initiatives like Island Industrial Ecology and Risk-KAN.
