Simone Williams is a Marketing & Innovation Lecturer at Hotelschool The Hague, where she has spent 12.5 years designing educational experiences for Bachelor and Master’s students. She currently leads the Future of Food minor in Year 4, exploring critical challenges in the F&B industry, such as food governance, sustainability, and the intersection of food with societal and planetary health. Her work integrates design thinking, business model innovation, and change management, particularly in redefining hospitality practices aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Simone holds a Master’s in Responsible Management from Steinbeis University Berlin. She is an active member of Hotelschool The Hague’s SDG Office, advocating for sustainable business models that 'protect, respect, and remedy' social and environmental impacts. She champions initiatives like campus gardens and the Future We Want program, which engages students in community volunteering.
Her research interests span ethical food systems, the influence of big food corporations, government policies, and the role of innovation in hospitality. She previously worked in international branding and marketing in retail and telecommunications before transitioning to academia.
