Simone Menegoi

Simone Menegoi (b. 1970) is a contemporary art professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna, teaching Philosophy of Art since 2021, and serves as Artistic Director of Arte Fiera Bologna since 2019. His academic role integrates with extensive curatorial practice across European institutions including Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, David Roberts Art Foundation London, and Triennale di Milano.

His research investigates critical intersections between sculpture and adjacent media, exemplified by the exhibition cycle The Camera's Blind Spot (MAN Nuoro 2013, Extra City Kunsthal Antwerp 2015, Palazzo De' Toschi Bologna 2016) and Le statue calda.
