Simone Cerciello

Prof. Simone Cerciello is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in prosthetic surgery and sports traumatology. He is currently an Associate Professor at UniCamillus (since October 2024) and a contract professor at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (UCSC) in Rome. Previously, he served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Molise (2009-2014) and held positions as an eligible Associate Professor (2013) and Full Professor (2018).

Education:

• Residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology with honors (2005), UCSC, Rome.
• II Level Master in Degenerative Knee Pathology (2009), University of Molise (UNIMOL).
• I Level Master in Shoulder Pathology and Biomechanics (2012), University of Bologna (UNIBO).

Research & Clinical Focus: Prof. Cerciello’s expertise includes prosthetic surgery of major joints (knee, hip, shoulder), sports traumatology, and arthroscopic surgery. He has authored 180 publications, 106 indexed on PubMed, and serves on editorial boards of journals like KSSTA, AOTS, and Joints.

He serves as an orthopedic consultant for Vatican City State, FAO, CONI, and the Carabinieri General Command.
