Simone Battistini

Simone Battistini is a Senior Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University since 2019. He holds a PhD (2013), MSc (2009), and BSc (2006) in Control Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome. With over a decade of academic and industrial experience, his research focuses on Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems for aerospace applications, including satellites, UAVs, and autonomous vehicles.

Grants & Collaborations: Principal Investigator on six Brazilian-funded projects (CNpQ, AEB, FAP-DF), collaborating with institutions like University of Nottingham and Keldysh Institute. Research includes LAICAnSat airdropped platforms and attitude control for small satellites.

Labs & Teams: Co-founder of the Laboratory of Simulation and Control of Aerospace Systems at University of Brasilia. Active in international committees for CubeSat workshops and satellite missions.
