Dr. Simon S. Rabinowitz is a Clinical Professor and Vice Chairman of Pediatrics at Downstate Health Sciences University. Since 1987, he has pioneered the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, serving Brooklyn’s inner-city pediatric population and establishing one of the first ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in Pediatric Gastroenterology. He specializes in second opinions for children with gastrointestinal, liver, or pancreatic symptoms and growth faltering, with a clinical practice at University Hospital at Downstate.

He has contributed educational articles to Medscape on pediatric feeding issues and endoscopic diagnostics.
