Simon Rabaseda Sílvia is a Full Professor in Physical Chemistry at the University of Girona, affiliated with the Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis and the DIMOCAT research group. He holds a PhD in Sciences (1998) from UdG and a Chemistry degree (1992) from UAB.
His research focuses on modeling hydrogen bonds and charge transfer in biomolecules, with ~40 international publications, including one of UdG's most cited articles. He has contributed to scientific dissemination through leadership in the Research Night (FP7-PEOPLE-NIGHT) and co-organization of events via the Chair of Scientific Culture and Digital Communication.
He pioneered UdG's MOOCs on Scientific Research 2.0.1 and Discovering Chemistry, emphasizing digital society integration. Awards include the 2008 UdG Teaching Practice Distinction.
