Simon Puglisi

Simon Puglisi is a Professor at the University of Helsinki's Department of Computer Science, within the Faculty of Science. His research focuses on algorithms, bioinformatics, data compression, and string processing, with notable contributions to genomic data analysis and efficient indexing techniques. He holds the Alberto Apostolico Best Paper Award (2021) and leads the WILL # CHAIR # BOSSA project (2025–2029).
