Simon Pahle

Simon Pahle is an Associate Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University’s Faculty of Teacher Education and International Studies, affiliated with the Department of International Studies and Interpreting Education. His research focuses on Development Studies, Labor Rights, International Trade, and Sustainability.

Simon’s work examines the intersection of global governance, labor rights, and sustainable development. He leads the CENSU project on climate change and energy sustainability in vulnerable communities, emphasizing ethical resource extraction.

Simon’s recent publications analyze aid convergence, trade-labor linkages in the Global South, and the impact of international institutions like the ILO on national labor policies. His research spans political economy frameworks and discourse-theoretical approaches to global labor standards.
