Simon Otter

Dr. Simon Otter is an Associate Professor in Podiatry at Health Sciences University, bringing over 20 years of clinical and academic expertise. His research focuses on musculoskeletal foot complaints, particularly in rheumatological contexts, with specialized skills in diagnostic ultrasound and therapeutic injections. He leads the university's new pre-registration MSc in Podiatry program and collaborates with the Centre for Regenerative Medicine & Devices, investigating novel wound dressings.

His current research utilizes ultrasonography and MRI to examine gout's impact on foot structures, building on extensive clinical experience in high-risk foot care, nail surgery, and musculoskeletal medicine.
