Simon Moreton is an Associate Professor of Creative Economies at the School of Arts, University of the West of England, Bristol. He contributes to the Digital Cultures Research Centre (DCRC) and is an associate member of the Visual and Material Practices Group (VAMP). As an artist, he works across prose, poetry, collage, and drawing, focusing on themes like personal and collective memory, landscape, folklore, and the politics of creativity.

Moreton has contributed to arts evaluation projects such as Watershed's Creative Producers International and We Are Bristol, focusing on cultural value, sustainable R&D, and community development. His publications include zines, poetry collections, and experimental memoirs, reflecting his advocacy for DIY arts and self-publishing. He also teaches on the MA in Creative and Cultural Leadership at UWE.
