Simon Leung is a Professor of Art at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), affiliated with multiple departments including Critical Theory, Asian American Studies, Gender and Sexualities Studies, and Law/Culture Studies. His work explores ethical dimensions of art, war's residual impacts, and cultural displacement through installations, videos, and performances. Key projects include War After War (2011), The Side of the Mountain (opera), and collaborations with Warren Niesłuchowski. Awards include a Guggenheim Fellowship and the Art Journal Award for his essay The Look of Law.
