Simon Laroche is a Part-Time Lecturer at Concordia University in the Studio Arts department. He is a co-founder of the art collective Projet EVA, where he explores critical perspectives on socio-technical hybridization and the relationships between individuals, computer systems, and their physical extensions.
His research focuses on media art, creating installations, audio and video performances, and robotic/body artworks that interrogate the intersections of technology and human experience. His work has been exhibited internationally across Asia, Europe, South and North America, and the Middle East.
Simon's artistic practice is deeply interdisciplinary, bridging Human-Computer Interaction, digital media, and experimental performance. He actively contributes to the field of Electronic Arts through both teaching and innovative art projects.
As a member of Projet EVA, he engages in collaborative efforts to critique and reimagine technological systems. His notable works include The Object of the Internet, Perpetual Demotion / Orchestrer la perte, and Gridspace, which reflect his exploration of digital culture and embodied interaction.
